• Account & contact information — the names and email addresses you provide to create an account and book a ceremony.
• Ceremony details — your chosen time, officiant, the Utah County marriage-license link you provide, and ceremony status.
• Live ceremony media — audio and video of your ceremony, which may be recorded to document that the marriage was solemnized.
• Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
• Officiant information — for officiants, your name, credential, email, and (if you provide it) a mobile number for booking alerts.

To create and manage your account; schedule and facilitate your ceremony; assign and coordinate a Utah-licensed officiant and witnesses; process payment; deliver confirmations, status updates, and reminders; maintain legal records of the ceremony; and provide customer support.

We share information only as needed to provide the service, with providers such as Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication), Neon (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), LiveKit (live video), and Resend and Twilio (email and SMS notifications). We do not sell your personal information.

If you provide a mobile number (for example, an officiant entering a number in the portal to receive booking alerts), you consent to receive transactional text messages from SameDayWed related to your ceremonies — such as booking notifications and reminders. These are not marketing messages.

• Message frequency varies based on your ceremonies and account activity.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time, or HELP for help.
• We do not sell or share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in information with third parties for their own marketing.

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and to maintain legal records of the marriage, and as required by law. You may request deletion of your account data (subject to records we must retain).

You may access or request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of texts (reply STOP) or non-essential emails at any time. To make a request, contact us below.

SameDayWed is only for individuals 18 years of age or older.

We use encryption in transit and at rest and reputable service providers to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
